Today I have a set of letter d activities and worksheets, suitable for preschoolers. I have compiled nine letter d activities into a downloadable alphabet workbook. You can use these letter d activities and worksheets to help your children:

Letter D Poster
I created two variations of letter D poster. One has d for durian, which is a tropical fruit and the other has d for dot instead, for those who live in a place where you cannot get durian. These posters are great for introducing the letter Dd. Children can learn the different items that begin with letter d and have a go at tracing the lowercase d too. You can use this poster as a guide for various hands on activities such as creating alphabet box filled with items mentioned above, playing drums or create your own drums using recycled materials, creating some letter d crafts, learn all about dinosaurs, read different letter d books with your children like The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, I Wish I Had Duck Feet by Theo. LeSieg (Dr. Seuss), If You Give a Dog a Donut by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond, Have You Seen My Dinosaur by Jon Surgal and Joe Mathieu, etc. and many more activities!
Spot and Dot the Letter Activity
This activity helps your children recognise upper and lowercase letter d. They have to find both the upper and lower case letter and dot or color them.
I love using these dot markers and the kids enjoy using it more than just plain coloring.
Letter D Maze
Trace through the maze to find the way out! Another fun activity for letter recognition. If you want to reuse the activity sheet, you can laminate it and use washable marker to trace along the maze.
Letter D Sound Worksheets
There are two variations of beginning sound worksheets for you to choose from. They are straight forwards activities where your children have to identify items that begin with letter d.
Letter D Tracing Worksheets
There are 4 different letter d tracing worksheets to choose from with the options of tracing with lines or free form tracing with box. What more special is that I created my own tracing fonts because I could not find one that I like. These worksheets are not filled with tons and tons of tracing to do because I find that children get so bored and tired when there are too much to trace.
